Sea Turtle Camp: What More Can a Parent Want?

At Sea Turtle Camp, we do everything we can to provide parents with the assurance that your son or daughter will be safe AND have fun while in our care. Not only will they make new friends from all over the country, learn new activities, explore amazing coastal ecosystems; but at our summer camp, they will also learn about the importance of giving back through service learning. Our belief is that kids learn and retain more when they are having fun!

Learning

All students of Sea Turtle Camp will have a highly engaging and stimulating learning experience, regardless of which camp session they choose. We inspire to teach younger generations about the importance of marine biology and coastal conservation. By inspiring them though our amazing highly qualified summer camp staff, we hope to see our students pass on what they have learned to their friends back home and to continue their education and passions for marine biology.

FUN!

What would a summer camp be if it was not filled with fun for your kids! Students will learn to be independent and confident at our camps where there is a 5:1  counselor ratio and lots of planned activities to provide a summer full of fun on the water! Join us for one of our Open Water Scuba Camps where students can get their first round of certifications for scuba diving and fun and educational dives to see some unbelievable marine life. Weoffer both beginner and advanced scuba camps for students to grow with us and return each year! Or, your teens can travel to Hawaii, or Costa Rica, for one of our travel camps that is truly a once in a lifetime experience filled with adventure and cultural immersion.

Giving Back

Sea Turtle Camp is different than most camps  mainly because of our emphasis on giving back. We strive to teach all our students, regardless of the camp session, how to become a steward of the environment by learning how to protect our ecosystems and oceans. We partner with the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, a local non-profit in Topsail island, that rescues and protects injured sea turtles. All of our Marine Biology Camps involve some level of working with this non-profit in order to insure we are doing our best to combine education and excitement for our campers. Additionally, as a family-owned and operated business, we do our part and give a portion of every camper’s tuition as a donation to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue.

We sell out early each year so start planning now for 2019! To learn more about our camps for next summer, find our camp schedule and details here!
